Daniel Pote is an intellectual property lawyer with over 25 years of experience in assisting clients in a broad range of intellectual property-related matters. Daniel has extensive experience counseling clients with respect to patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, contract, and IP licensing matters, with a particular emphasis on patent prosecution in the field of software-related inventions.
Before attending law school, Daniel spent a decade as an engineer at a large multinational semiconductor company. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology. With his qualifications and experience in both the technical and legal fields, Daniel is uniquely qualified to counsel clients with respect to machine learning and AI systems, software-related inventions, database architectures, encryption, cybersecurity, blockchain and cryptoassets, autonomous vehicles, robotics, semiconductor devices and processes, and consumer electronics.
Daniel is a member, and past chair, of the Executive Council for the State Bar of Arizona Intellectual Property Section.
