TANYA M. AVILA, ESQ.

Tanya Avila serves as lead attorney of the technology practice at Newman Jones. Tanya is co-founder of Bigfork Technologies, LLC, and formerly served as General Counsel for a variety of other startup technology companies, including SecureNet, LLC, and Volusion. 

Tanya provides financiers, hardware manufacturers, internet hosting providers, legal and education tech SaaS providers, and payment processors with the guidance they require to be successful in a rapidly changing landscape. She specializes in contract drafting and negotiations, providing litigation and risk management, advising corporations procuring or undergoing acquisitions, managing human resources and settling labor disputes, and offering strategic guidance regarding product development. 

Tanya has served as President of the Association for Corporate Counsel Board (Austin Chapter) and Co-Chair of the Women in the House Network, in association with the United Nations and the Women in the House Network Foundation.
